Children's participation transforms realities! From the local to the global: a network for children to be heard
Dialogue Works 2.0.: the Global Network on Child Participation (GNCP, 2025 - 2029) is a joint project led by Terre des Hommes Germany (TDH) and Kindernothilfe (KNH). It is dedicated to improving the living conditions of children in vulnerable situations by strengthening meaningful and sustainable structures for child participation in the three regions of Southeast Africa, South Asia and South America. Building on the previous projects It’s Time to Talk! (2016-2019) and Dialogue Works (2020-2024), the GNCP aims to increase opportunities for children to express their views and to participate in dialogues with adults who have responsibilities to improve the lives of children (e.g. government officials, community leaders, teachers, parents/caregivers etc.). Additionally, on the global level, a virtual Community of Practice (CoP) for mutual learning and exchange on child participation is established.
Partner Organisations
We work with 11 partners in Southeast Africa, South Asia and South America. Some of them were already part of our previous campaign, Dialogue Works, whilst others joined us in 2025. Take a look at our interactive map to see who we’re working with and where.
Milestones
Dialogue Works 2.0 builds on two key foundations: the international campaign and the study It’s Time to Talk!. Building on the lessons learned and networks established through Dialogue Works, the new project takes the next step in strengthening the participation of children in vulnerable situations.: Previous efforts brought together 19 partner organisations and laid the foundation for regional networks of Children's Advisory Committees (CACs). Building on these achievements, the project strengthens local participation structures, fosters regional and global exchange, and translates children's experiences and recommendations into advocacy.
